The lecturer will discuss the symptoms, causes, and methods of treating strokes, focusing on the treatment of ischemic strokes.
About the Lecturer
Dr. Dorota Szarlej-Lentz came to the United States after completing 4 years of the Faculty of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Temple University in Philadelphia after completing the Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health Program at the University of Pennsylvania. After an internship, she began working at Jefferson Hospital in the field of pharmacology, and for many years now she has been working in the neurological intensive care unit as a member of the team of neurointensivists, neurosurgeons, and specialized nursing staff at the Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, where she is responsible for the pharmacotherapy safety of patients. In her free time, she enjoys reading and being in nature. Music plays an important role in her life; she sings in a choir and is learning to play the piano.
